I’ve been in love with this world and already liked the MC from previous installments but this particular story invested my interest on a new level. Not many authors can juggle multiple POV’s well without losing pace, but Mr. Sullivan does seamlessly. And he never fails to make even unlikeable characters interesting.

A HERO TO SOME. A VILLAIN TO MANY. THE TRUTH FOREVER BURIED.

The man who became known as Esrahaddon is reported to have destroyed the world's greatest empire - but there are those who believe he saved it. Few individuals are as divisive, but all agree on three facts: He was exiled to the wilderness, hunted by a goblin priestess, and sentenced to death by a god - all before the age of eight. Unknown Author Why Rivendell’s loves this book

Ms. Walters resets the bar for young adult fantasy: mixing modern challenges and conflicts with the deepest old-world lore, where fairy tales and horror meet and intertwine. I love a good hero’s journey but it’s not common to find a story that truly honors the original Irish mythos concerning fairies—often feeling more paranormal than “fantasy”. The MC is the rare example of “not like other girls” done right… because she honestly isn’t (and she’s not caught up in some unhinged love triangle either). All she wants is to understand why so much weird has surrounded her family for 200 years. And the fairies definitely trigger that uncanny valley reaction (in both characters and readers), at least initially. It’s not often you find stories like these anymore— echoes Lewis Carol, L. Frank Baum, and Neil Gaiman.
