2 Books Like Since We've No Place to Go

I almost didn't read this book because of the subtitle (A paranormal, midlife rom-com that will make you laugh out loud!). But I'm glad I did, because it was refreshing, different and made me smile. I liked the main character's inner dialogue and her interactions with her nephew. And the paranormal mystery was fun, not scary. If you like a mix of ghosts and romance that is light and fun to read, you'll like this book.

The story begins with Harriet living with the 'perfect' guy named Jon, who she doesn't want to marry. When proposes in front of his horrid family, she knows it’s time to leave.
Harriet finds a new place, but there's complications. Luckily, Harriet has good friends.
It's a rom-come and the book has truly funny parts but it also highlights the toll emotional abuse can leave on a person, the importance of woman friends, and how a person can grow stronger when they stand up for themselves and others.
