As well as being a novelist, I am also a script editor for film and TV. I specialise in thriller narratives and big themes in screenwriting, so it's no accident I am drawn to them in fiction too. I go insane over a killerrific suspense thriller, and this one checked all the right boxes for me. The setting is 1930s England, for one. So many of my favorite mysteries are set in that era.

Ahhh! I loved this one. It was epic fantasy at its finest, with compelling characters and a style of writing that had me enthralled from start to finish. I felt the Norse-inspired world-building was magnificent. I was caught up in the plot, the frustration, the desire.
Another slow burn that had me still thinking about it two days after I’d finished it.

I immediately found myself lost in this enemies-to-lovers adventure. The bewitching storyline and mystery kept me engaged from the start. I couldn’t put the book down. I love cozy mysteries with a touch of sweet, clean romance, a splash of faith, and, best of all—a cold, wet nose and four paws. Animals bring richness and compassion to a story. They can provide comic relief, a sympathetic ear to be scratched, a built-in radar for identifying bad guys, and unconditional love when the protagonist needs it most. If you’re a history buff, you’ll love the science of time travel mixing with the method of travel, as your sent back to the start of the American Revolution in Massachusetts. One spark to this intriguing story was the main characters are thrown off their initial course of testing their time-ship, hoping to travel just a couple years into the future only to find themselves over 200 years in the past.
