I really enjoyed the journey the protagonist went through - from having a set plan for her life at the beginning of the story to that plan being shattered in an instant and then, to trying to stay optimistic that this plan can still happen even though the odds are against her. What happens when everything you thought you knew about yourself gets taken away? How do you start over after life throws you a curveball? I was amazed by the amount of thought and research that the author put into this. It felt real and relatable. An inspirational read for anyone who's going through a hard time in their life.

I loved reading about the experience of an autistic character written by an autistic author. Knowing that this was based on the author's own experience made the story more authentic and easier to understand. Her journey toward self-awareness and self-confidence was inspirational and emotional. A great story about the importance of self-care and putting your needs first.

I loved the use of mixed-media in this book - podcast transcripts, tweets, a group chat - and how it followed the structure of a dating show season. I used to watch The Bachelorette (which this book's reality show is based on) and this took me back to that time. I loved following the protagonist while she taped the show and the outside reaction to each episode; that was a great addition to the story. I also loved the plus-size representation in this. Though the protagonist appears self-confident to the outside world, she's very insecure and vulnerable, struggling with the pressures of performing. Her journey toward finding true love was very relatable.
NATIONAL BESTSELLER • Real love . . . as seen on TV. A plus-size bachelorette brings a fresh look to a reality show in this razor-sharp, “divinely witty” (Entertainment Weekly) debut.
“Effortlessly fun and clever . . . I found the tension impeccable . . . and that made my reading experience incredibly propulsive. Read it in a day and a half.”—Emily Henry, #1 bestselling author of Beach Read and The People We Meet on Vacation
