Why Somer loves this book
This book was all over the place emotionally, and yet still felt put-together and steady. A lot happens and the plot is very strong. But what really sets this book up as one of my favorites is that it has an almost-perfect ending. Endings are so hard, and I sympathize with that and tend to be forgiving of an otherwise wonderful book kind of dropping the ball on the end. But Brimstone really nails that end, and I closed the book with such a feeling of peace and happiness, that it really left an impression on me as a reader.
