Another masterpiece from Belinda Alexandra! Although it was set in two timeframes, it was easy to follow and well-blended. The characters were very likeable and the plot was something a little different.

Rita Lee Chapman Why Rita loves this book

I loved this book, mainly because of the leading characters, Elise and Sebastian. A very powerful novel, so beautifully written, conveying the force of their love - a German and a French woman - in the middle of WW11. An ordinary man, forced to be part of something he hated and a fervent French patriot, pawns in a war not of their making and kept apart by the love of her family. Highly recommended.
