I love Natasha Lester's writing and this is her best novel yet! The emotions and passion, particularly between Hawk and Astrid and Blythe and Jake are so deep, so intense that they pull you into their love stories. Being a historical romance it also deals with the problems women encountered in trying to be recognised as dress designers in what, was then, a man's world.
Another masterpiece from Belinda Alexandra! Although it was set in two timeframes, it was easy to follow and well-blended. The characters were very likeable and the plot was something a little different.
A wartime betrayal, a race against time ... and a secret hidden in a painting. The must-read new novel from the author of The French Agent and White Gardenia.
Paris 1946: A young woman, Eve Archer, has come to Paris to find Serge Lavertu, the father she never knew. But before Eve can find the courage to tell him who she is, Serge is arrested, accused of selling a French national treasure to Hitler during the war and murdering the original owner. Could Serge truly be guilty of treason or has he been set up?
I loved this book, mainly because of the leading characters, Elise and Sebastian. A very powerful novel, so beautifully written, conveying the force of their love - a German and a French woman - in the middle of WW11. An ordinary man, forced to be part of something he hated and a fervent French patriot, pawns in a war not of their making and kept apart by the love of her family. Highly recommended.
DI Williamson is faced with another murder on the Sunshine Coast. A Member of Parliament’s assistant is found dead outside the Yacht Club. Was this murder politically motivated, or was it personal?
