I can’t say enough good stuff about Price’s books. She pulls you in instantly with thoughtful details that bring the story to life. This book had me turning pages late into the night. The only thing that kept me from being totally bummed when I finished the story was knowing that there was more in the series! Trust me, this is one that will have you rushing through your day so that you can cozy up in your favorite reading spot and spend more time with the characters of this delightful novel. Bonus: It’s a quick and snappy read, perfect for a weekend. I personally love shorter books with fast pacing, so this was right up my alley.

I have toyed around with the idea of writing historical romance, but after reading Lane’s book, I am not even sure I should bother. She already perfected it! I can’t tell you how many times I said “just one more chapter…” Before I knew it, I had finished the book! I have read several other World War Two era romances before, but this was my first with an Italian focus. I am telling you, it is P-E-R-F-E-C-T. I loved it so much that I booked a trip to Italy after, okay people?! What more can I say? Bonus: Not only are each of Ellison’s books completely lovable, but they are also inclusive. Check out this thoughtful author right now!
