I have toyed around with the idea of writing historical romance, but after reading Lane’s book, I am not even sure I should bother. She already perfected it! I can’t tell you how many times I said “just one more chapter…” Before I knew it, I had finished the book! I have read several other World War Two era romances before, but this was my first with an Italian focus. I am telling you, it is P-E-R-F-E-C-T. I loved it so much that I booked a trip to Italy after, okay people?! What more can I say? Bonus: Not only are each of Ellison’s books completely lovable, but they are also inclusive. This is the definition of a sweet small town romance. While the story was as cute as a button, it also carried a very real message. I highly recommend this St. Patrick’s day love story if you enjoy holiday romances, quirky side characters that you will adore as much as the hero and heroine, and a small town that is pretty much a character in and of itself. Bonus: It’s also the first in series, so there is plenty more to love after you finish this one! And you guessed it, they are each themed with their own holiday. How fun is that?!
"This definitely hit the spot!""If you love small town romance with a Hallmark flavour, you'll love Shamrocks and Surprises.". “Lucky” Lucy Callahan can fix anything, which is why her boss sent her to the Dew Drop Inn. It’s a shame that the cute bar owner who asked her out doesn’t seem to appreciate her efforts.. Roy Wagner’s family feud with the business next door is older than he is.
