Burning Rivals kept my attention from page one! The characters were exciting in this fast-paced romantic suspence. The Alaska landscape was the perfect setting for a wildfire. Books about wildfire fighting, since I'm surrounded by them every summer and fall, catch my eye.
The romance was fun, a slow burn, they kind I enjoy with a hint of enemies to lovers, at least from Cadee's point of view. Vince is an alpha male. A determined man who wants to protect. The twists and turns they have to take made me watch to keep reading.
Voni Harris's voice is unique. I loved how she thread mystery and romance into one unique book. I'd love to see this book on the big screen!

Knight penned a wonderful story dealing with grace, forgiveness, love, and a little girl who won a man's heart and helped to heal her mother's trust. The little girl, in my opinion, stole the show. I often envisioned her as I read the pages she skipped on.
Storied like this one, where there's an inheritance, are fun. And I enjoyed the sparkes between the hero and herione. Another trope of book, like A Blessing in Disguise, is second-chance romance. There's always the perfect amount of tension. Knight didn't disappoint.
I likes the ranch setting, my favorite, and the cowboy lifestyle. One I'm quite familiar with. I really liked Juniper, the herione's, drive to get things done within her horse therapy dreams. Of course, her daughter was the motivation, which was excellent.
Closed-off, workaholic Hudson Kenmore is shocked to discover his grandmother willed her property jointly to him and her caretaker, Juniper Keller. The single mother struggles to trust the childhood crush who once broke her heart, especially when her daughter, Gracie, bonds with him. But working together on renovations to turn the farm into a horse therapy program stirs up old feelings.
