I read a lot of memoir, I'm a ghost writer, and I could sense something of the presence of a ghost in Al Pacino's book, it reads like a conversation, a transcript, that, with clever editing, forms a story narrative. I'd been putting off reading this, have mixed feelings about Al, but he came across as vulnerable, creative, powerful and I could see his reasons for actions. I felt I understood the actor more.
