I love this book because it's written by a modern scientist looking to understand something outside science. Dr. Kaku is a pioneer in quantum physics. His career-long focus has been string theory. (We are all connected by "strings" of energy.) When he and his colleagues started out, this kind of physics was ridiculed.

Now, we're building impossibly amazing computers based on quantum. So, Dr. Kaku is a pioneer in the quantum world, and now he's looking there to be able to describe God in an inch of mathematical formula. So exciting! And written in a down-to-earth style even I could understand.

Dr. Moody spent many years researching near-death experiences. This book is a classic on the subject. It discusses death, after-death, and attitudes about dying...all from the most positive point of view. If, in a near-death experience, people report seeing and talking to long-deceased loved ones, and all in the same way, how can life simply stop at the grave?

Dr. Moody's courageous research helped launch an entire movement. So much is known now that wasn't known before about death, no longer the ultimate experience. Just a quick stop on an enormous journey!

Dr. Stevenson was the founder and director of the Division of Perceptual Studies at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. In the course of his work, he started to encounter very young children who reported details of lives they had lived before. Many, many young children. Rather than dismissing the stories as fantasy, he started paying attention when he realized many of the stories were provable.

He spent decades traveling the world, finding and talking to the children who remembered. (Since his death, Dr. Jim Tucker has continued the research at UVa. His own work is totally worth a read: Life Before Life: Children's Memories of Previous Lives.)

Edgar Cayce was the first great American mystic. (There may be another, but I sure don't know about it!) This humble, uneducated man would fall asleep and diagnose illnesses and prescribe cures for people who didn't even have to be there with him.)

He talked many times, at length, in sleep, about the unknown life of Jesus, about the soul, about his own memories in Ancient Egypt and before. He was consulted by thousands for questions from the mundane to the earth-shaking. His sons have accumulated every word of the millions he spoke, and these are in books open to the public at their Association for Research and Enlightenment (ARE) in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

What Cayce did is SO astonishing; I couldn't put this book down. And then I read every other word I could get my hands on (books compiied and published after his death).

This book is chock full of more advanced lessons for improving your gifts of psychic abilities.

It was my crew's second "textbook." The Sanders program guide laid a good foundation to build upon, and this book expanded on those lessons. Vanden Eynden calls it a down-to-earth guide, and it is. It has a different slant, more into meditation to get in touch with your spirit guides. But she has a wealth of other information.

The SRT crew enjoyed her lessons and found their gifts growing even more. We use these abilities in our investigations, which are becoming geared to helping homeowners with problematic or malevolent ghosts.

I came across this novel after I started following the author on Instagram. It was my first time dabbling in magical realism, and I found myself instantly hooked. Angie is an overweight, fifty-year-old housecleaner with a special skill—she can see the dead. Despite her best efforts to ignore her intuition, the spirits follow her, seek her out, and try to absorb and siphon her human powers. I love the arc of this novel, following the most unlikely of heroines into a death-defying struggle, where she learns that she is stronger than she ever thought possible and more importantly, she doesn’t need anyone else to save her. I rooted for her the entire way through, and now I’m excited to hear the author is making this into a trilogy.

Not everyone has the time, patience, or ability to read a complete book – so enter this enchanting volume! Mark Bajerski’s book is a treasury of uplifting quotes. Each day, you arbitrarily ‘choose’ a page, then read its spiritual message. Spirit guides your choice, so the message you receive is the most appropriate for you at that moment in time. Then, you simply Hold that Thought.

I have found that these uplifting spiritual truths reinforce my spirit no matter what circumstances I face, and so touched and delighted was I when a friend gifted a copy to me that I, in turn, gifted copies to my friends.
