Will I love Trillion Dollar Coach?

I listened to this book while on my distance runs in the evenings and weekends. The story format made the book easy to follow even while running, and listening to the audiobook (I’m typically a visual reader and prefer physical books). The biggest takeaways for me were reminders of the qualities and character traits that make a great leader (or coach).

It was enlightening to learn about the ‘coach’ behind so many of the successful businesses (like Apple) that we read about today. It makes you think—“Would you rather be in the CEO seat, or the CEO’s coach?” 

This book framed what it means to be a good coach, leader and mentor. I felt seen, understood and it inspired me to be better when I show up for my founders, CEO's and team everyday.

Trillion Dollar Coach is an absolutely brilliant read about a legendary coach and business executive who coached some of the best and brightest leaders in Silicon Valley.

Campbell coached, among others, Larry Page, Sergey Brin, Eric Schmidt, and Sundar Pichai at Google, Steve Jobs at Apple, Jeff Bezos at Amazon, and Sheryl Sandberg at Facebook.

Much like my own rather strong beliefs on this topic, Bill preached that to be a great manager, you have to be a great coach.
