A series if random chalk circles start appearing on Paris streets, each containing a random item, Jean-Baptiste Adamsberg senses this is the beginnings of a serial killer spree and the tension quickly escalates as a woman's body is discovered in one.
Vargas has a wonderful engaging style that keeps the reader immersed.
