Why read it?

1 author picked Lightlark as one of their favorite books. Why do they recommend it?

This book hooked me from the very beginning as I immediately felt a sort of kinship with the protagonist, Isla. The different curses and abilities the characters possessed were very well thought out and imaginative and really added to the plot. I enjoyed the banter between Isla and her love interests (yes, plural), and felt really curious as to which way she'd lean in the end. Seeing as this is the first book in a series, I may not have gotten all my questions answered, but I'm looking forward to reading the next two books!
