Wow, this story packs a punch! It's beautifully written and violent, full of anger, sweetness, horror, and heart. I fell in love with these characters and watched as they made terrible choices and fought for the people they loved. Gabino's voice really shone through. Highly recommend if you have the stomach for it.
This is another brilliant, devastating work from Gabino Iglesias. As with his previous novel, The Devil Takes You Home, Iglesias masterfully combines horror with situations that are all too real, to chilling results.
This novel is not for the faint of heart, as Iglesias doesn't shy away from describing violence in detail. But it's a gripping read that never once felt predictable or obvious. Highly recommended.
