Will I love Haunting Adeline?

This was a revealing read for me.

I understand its enormous success and admire H. D. Carlton’s ability to take obsession, danger, and attraction into territory few novels dare to explore. I also found it fascinating because it showed me how far dark romance could be taken and, above all, how far millions of readers were willing to follow it.

As a writer, it influenced me as a model, but also by contrast, because I believe that obsession and desire, to feel genuine and authentic, must be accompanied by psychology and character development that make the attraction believable.

Haunting Adeline was tops. If you love dark romances, Adeline and Zade are it!

Adeline uncovers the murderous truths as she moves into her deceased Nana’s mansion. The story twists through the gripping mystery of her Great-Grandmother’s murder by a stalker.

Similarly, Adeline must deal with a stalker of her own, Zade. Torturously, I watched Adeline follow the same dangerous path, first fearing Zade but later falling for him. I love stories that take on winding roads of mystery and character development and shock me with every new chapter.
