Why read it?

1 author picked Forgotten Yorkshire Folk and Fairy Tales as one of their favorite books. Why do they recommend it?

I love that many of the tales are associated with real local places. I get very excited when it mentions somewhere I know well. I was especially happy to find a gender-reversed Rapunzel (or "Man In A Tower") story in here. You don’t normally get many of those.

From Elizabeth's list on 21st century fairy tale collections.
