The transformation of the MMC in this book is one of my all-time epic favorites. This dude. He is a walking wall of stone with the tiniest tender side we barely ever get a glimpse of. And he brings more than enough “enemy” to the enemies-to-lovers aspect of this series. But his POV chapters were my favorite to read because when his heart of ice starts melting, he falls hard. And it is so satisfying to read!

The perspectives of the FMC and other characters in both the palaces and the rebel forces add depth, magic, scandal, mystery, and loads…

This is a multi-POV dark fantasy series that I literally could not put down! The cast of characters is quite extensive (very Game of Thrones-esque) and I loved connecting the many storylines. This series has a little bit of everything – romance, action, magic, and of course, the fantasy aspects we all know and love!
