Why read it?

1 author picked A Monsoon Rising as one of their favorite books. Why do they recommend it?

I was a huge fan of The Hurricane Wars when it came out in 2023, so of course when Book 2 came along, I was ready to continue on with Alaric and Talasyn’s story in the world of Lir. This book was lush, romantic, and spicy, and I enjoyed reading about the main characters coming to terms with their complicated feelings for each other.

The worldbuilding and character development continued to suck me in.

I’ll forever adore that it’s a Southeast Asian inspired world, because SEA is my childhood home.
