I love a Hallmark movie in a book. And my absolutely favorite Hallmark movies are ones that deal with food and cooking. And as you can tell by the title of this book, food was one of the characters; fudge to be exact. Which explains why I chose the characters as the first thing I liked most about the book.

Not always likeable because they don't have the sappy sensitivity and empathy a lot of readers like in main characters.
