This was a really fun read, partly because I am working on a musician romance right now, but also because it was just so darn sweet! There were so many quiet tender moments between the characters that it was impossible not to root for them. I generally choose books to read that I think will help my own writing or will help me find like-minded authors. This one was a happy accident—a Little Free Library find that caught my eye. I’m so glad I read it, as I find getting the ‘famous’ person right in romance books is hard and this one really dug into what Vivi’s life was like and how fame hindered relationships. That turned out to be really impactful for me and something I hope I can capture with my singer-songwriter character.
Beloved author Jackson Pearce brings her trademark humor and emotion to a compelling and hopelessly romantic story about how impossible fame and love can be on their own, much less together.
Maybe everything they say about Vivi Swan is true.
Maybe America's Sweetheart is all fluff and no substance.
And maybe every guy she dates is fodder for her next breakup song.
But session drummer Remy Young doesn't care. Touring with Vivi Swan means more money than he and his brother could ever earn on their own. And he's smart enough to keep himself away from drama.
A fake date, romance, and a conniving co-worker you'd love to shut down. Fun summer reading!
Liza loves helping people and creating designer shoes that feel as good as they look. Financially overextended and recovering from a divorce, her last-ditch opportunity to pitch her firm for investment falls flat. Then…
If I’m going to pick my second favorite animal, it's going to be cats AND Istanbul is on my list of dream vacations so this novella jumped out at me! I love reading about characters at a crossroads and that’s where we find Celia—taking a new short term job and wondering if she should set down roots. An adorable kitten helps, as does the hunky veterinarian upstairs.
Cute little Badem gets just as much attention as the human characters and that is my jam! I love making animal sidekicks have just as much personality as their two-legged counterparts and it’s a real treat when I find other books that do the same. I was rooting for Celia’s relationship with Badem just as much as the one with Enes!
In the enchanting city of Istanbul, where ancient history blends seamlessly with modern life, a chance encounter with a furry friend sets the stage for an unforgettable romantic comedy. When Celia, an ambitious young woman on a short-term work assignment, moves into her cozy apartment, she quickly befriends a charming street cat. Little does she know that this feline fluffball is about to become her unlikely matchmaker.
As Celia navigates the challenges of her new life in a foreign city, the cat's comical antics and endearing ways lead her to a neighbor like no other—a handsome veterinarian named Enes. With…
