There have definitely been times in my life that I wanted to quit! Can you identify? I keep this book handy for days like those, and every time I grab it and read it, my faith gets renewed and I get encouraged enough to keep going. This book shows how to develop faith that won't quit – and if we don’t quit, we win in Jesus! 

This book is now added to my short list of favorites. I believe it is a book for everyone. It is full of factual, logical evidence that explains the reasons why Jesus Christ's life, death, and resurrection are irrefutable. It is well written and not at all pushy. I wish everyone in the world would take the time to read this short book. It will surely inspire and change people's lives for the better!

What I really love the most about this author and the story is how she highlights the love she experienced from different people through her suffering. I love both books in this duology—this one and its sequel, The Road to Cana. Renowned author Anne Rice not only depicts the life of Jesus as a child and young adult, but she also uses a first-person point of view.

This bold narrative choice connects us readers very deeply with Jesus as a character. We are immersed in the inner life of his thoughts, feelings and motivations, and so we get to share in his internal conflicts. The Jesus in these novels is a complex protagonist who experiences human emotions and drives but also must grapple with divine powers and perceptions. It is a coming-of-age story in which Jesus must reconcile his dual identities as both a human being and a divine entity.
