Morris is really the most disgusting monster ever, and this book will make every child (and parent!) go “Ewwww!”
It’s hilariously funny, and despite all of Morris’s horrible bad habits, and reading about what he likes to do - you’ll find that you (almost!) fall in love with him! The illustrations are great and it’s enjoyable looking for the gross and manky details with your child, and pointing them out together. Revolting fun!
It's years since he last changed his t-shirt. It's crusty and crawling with ants. His shoes are all slurpy and squelchy inside. And potatoes grow out of his pants. Morris is sweet, charming...and completely disgusting. Kids will absolutely LOVE him.

You had me at the title! Dave the Bear is calmly sweeping the floor of his cave one day, when, suddenly, two clumps of hair leap into the air! They are actually two hairy slugs and end up on Dave’s head as new eyebrows!

I began my career as an assistant nursery school teacher when I graduated from college. My head teacher was my mentor. She knew how to engage children with her storytelling. She also managed to inspire children with an enthusiasm for learning. She challenged each child to develop his/her own individual skills. We’re picture book lovers and best friends that met in college at Washington University in St. Louis. With our 2.5-year-old we read all the time. We love being ‘nudie nudie’ in our house and the fun rhyming words in this book are regularly recited as we play! We also love the Rudie Nudie Christmas edition that came out in 2020. As someone from the UK living in Australia I love the details in this book that let me know it is set in Australia such as the house having a screen door to keep all those pesky mosquitoes out!
