Unexplained attraction to someone that's instant creates the wonder of why is this so? How do strangers illicit this response so strongly. This story is written in the future then expertly leaps back to 1972 introducing some of the back story but never spoiling what had been read before. To finally a leap to 1962 where the story begins. Many secrets lie between the characters.
Encompassing moral dilemmas of how we react to this can be mixed. Some shocking and very intriguing to what you would do if in that situation? How love can be so strong regardless of distance and time. No amount of peer or family pressure can dissolve this. There is sadness of memories which can be good or bad. But never forgotten.

This was a steady emotional escape read. Descriptive writing of location made you experience all the five senses of the scene. The storyline allowed you see the past in tiny pockets, never revealing the full history line. The key players of semi related siblings allowed each one to express how we all yearn to know who our true parentage is.
Suspense was held to the final ending. Bittersweet dramas enfolded as each characters past came back to haunt them. A beautiful finale to an endearing story.
