I read this book when I felt like I was lost on my manifestation journey. Some things would come to fruition, but others wouldn’t, and I wanted to know where I was stuck and how I could fix it.

This book gives practical advice on manifestation methods on a holistic level. It allows the everyday person to take the bite-sized chapters, digest them, and apply them to their lives.

I learned so much from the funny stories Jen talks about in her book and the timeless techniques that have helped me shape my manifestation practice.

This book helped me view myself from a different lens. In this time and day, many people struggle with self confidence. If you want a boost in that department, I recommend reading this book. I enjoyed the author’s confidence in herself and myself. 

Let’s face it. Every one of us is bound to hit a “wall” at some point or another in life. At such times, it’s easy to fall into the “woe is me” trap, instead of proactively reassessing, redirecting, and shifting focus.

I read this book a decade ago, and once again recently. It has stood the test of time, and will continue to do so for years to come. Who doesn’t appreciate a good, old-fashioned (motivational) a$$-whooping, the kind that persuades us to stop complaining and start moving (in a different direction)?

Last year, July of 2022 my best friend Susan died of pancreatic cancer. Jen Sincero moves away from the typical stuffiness of personal development books and approaches the topic with humor and a bit of irreverence. This book is like a don’t-sugar-coat-it conversation with your best friend over margaritas. It’s a quick and enjoyable read, full of down-to-earth advice and try-it-yourself exercises.

You’ll feel ready to take on anything and have a great time doing it!

I don't want to read average self-help / the same old thing. This is not the same old thing. Well, it is, but it is written in such a refreshingly honest and amusing way that I was gripped by every word. If you want to dip your toe into self-help but are not sure where to start, you can't go too wrong with this gem of a book. From meditation to money, the author has covered all the basics for getting your life in order.
