Prep schools and YA go together like peanut butter and jelly, and Jessica Goodman certainly makes a delicious pairing in this thriller. Not only does it include a mystery of a dead best friend, but the social politics involved with solving the mystery made it even more intriguing.
I’m usually not a fan of books about popular kids because—plot twist—I was NOT a popular kid myself. But after reading about all the anxiety associated with maintaining that popularity, I understand now that I wasn’t missing out on anything!
