I loved her beautiful descriptions of the small-town theater, the comments on how theater asks us to do what we spend our lives trying not to do: be vulnerable, show our raw emotions. I am not a theater person at all--I know next to nothing about it--but I cared about these real people and it made me think about all the drama and heartache in any group--a book club, running club, writing organization.
