This was such a treat of a book! One of my favorite cozy fantasies to date: a roller coaster of magical experiments, merhorses, and jam. It made me wish I could befriend a sentient plant and ride a mythical horse.
The inventiveness and the positive feeling overall. What a welcome contrast to so much dystopian misery being written these days.
I’ve only recently discovered cozy books like this one. I think so much of it was done well. The characters are delightful and you quickly fall in love with them. The stakes were appropriate and the situation unique. The love interest was done well and didn’t feel rushed at all. Overall, this was just such a delightful read.
