Why read it?

1 author picked The Sick House as one of their favorite books. Why do they recommend it?

This was the first book I read by Ambrose Ibsen and I was instantly hooked by his work. He has such a unique voice that draws the reader into the words he weaves, into the world that he creates. If you want to sleep with the lights on, this is definitely one for you.
