Will I love The Search?

I think that mental and emotional strength are often more hard-won than the physical kind. Fiona is a survivor. Literally. She’s the one that got away from a serial killer.

I can’t imagine the fortitude it would take to put your life back together and be able to function again after what she endured. But she not only rebuilt her life, she’s dedicated it to helping others through her search and rescue dogs. This book was suggested by my mom who is the most avid reader I know! I loved this one because it had an enemies to lovers vibe mixed with Fiona’s past pain which is always a good combination!

I read this one after I had gotten out of an even worse emotionally abusive and controlling relationship back in 2015. This book provided me with the escape I needed at the time and will always hold a special place in my heart!

I loved this book that’s a bit of women’s fiction and a mystery in one, woven together by one of my favorites, Nora Roberts. This one is set in the Pacific Northwest and Fiona, the main character, lives on a small island off the coast of Washington. I also write women’s fiction and my first series is set in the San Juan Islands of Washington, so this book appealed to me for the setting, along with the aspect of the canine search and rescue work the main character does.
