Will I love The Rom-Commers?

I read this book in less than twenty hours—not that I had time for it, but this book demanded it.

The main characters’ emotional and tangible goals are set up so well, I felt drawn in immediately. There was so much push and pull between the two as they learned to open up and work together to write a rom-com, so much (clashing) personality and voice (I always love Center’s voicy characters).

This is the kind of book I like to read in a day, curled up in my favorite chair or stretched out in a backyard hammock. From the moment I opened the cover, I was immersed in this funny, sweet story and captivated by the endearing characters.

I love a romance that has some shadows to balance out the lightness, and this finds that balance.

This is one of those books where fantasy meets reality. It's about a woman who finally takes a chance on herself—instead of wondering, "What if I moved to LA to pursue my screenwriting dreams?", she is forced to go and do it. And when she does, it leads to explosive and unexpected results.

I loved the enemies-to-lovers feel of this, and the message that while life isn't perfect, we can be grateful for the good things we do have.
