Why read it?

6 authors picked The Richest Man In Babylon as one of their favorite books. Why do they recommend it?

Another book on money. I couldn’t have survived the leaner times as an actor without the lessons in this book about how important saving money is. It seems logical, but most people don’t do it or don’t do it correctly.

This book helped me to further increase my financial acumen. What happens to a successful actor who knows little about money? He loses his house and his car and loses out on great opportunities. I vowed never to be that type of actor. I vowed to be the entrepreneur that I know I am.

Through incredible stories set in Ancient Babylon, we are transformed and transfixed, all while learning a powerful new financial mindset.

I found myself totally engrossed in the stories of Arkad. I forgot that I was reading the book and learning so much because I was thoroughly entertained. But as I put the book down for the final time, I realized I had a whole new way to think about money and wealth creation.

The author's timeless wisdom and storytelling style make this book one of my favorite treasures to gift and recommend!

The Richest Man in Babylon is my favorite book to teach how to manage your money, full stop.

It’s written as a collection of short stories set in ancient Babylon. The reason I love this book so much is because, in addition to being easy to understand, it highlights that we all stumble but can learn and even achieve great wealth when seek to learn from the wisdom of others.

If it were not for this book and its lesson to “pay yourself first”, I would likely still be wallowing in debt without much saved or invested for my future.…

If you’re like me and looking to use a side hustle as a means of escape from your job, you’ll need to adopt some extreme frugality habits. The Richest Man in Babylon is a series of parables that each teach an important lesson about money. One of the biggest lessons is that a portion of what you earn needs to be “yours to keep.” Learning how to set money aside will allow you to save up enough to transition from side hustle to main hustle.

From Ryan's list on how to get a side hustle started.

I love how The Richest Man in Babylon lays out, chapter by chapter, a series of fables that reveal a simple truth that we can apply ourselves, for greater impact in our lives.

Clason was born in 1874 and throughout his life he went from being a civil engineer in the Spanish War to growing one of the most profitable map companies in the USA. Observing the financial struggles of those around him, especially in depression-era America; he turned his hand to writing. Clason wanted to show others how to not only acquire wealth but to be wealthy.

This is…

From Daniel's list on to break through your blocks.

This book is a short parable that is called the most inspiring book on wealth ever written. Quite a claim, but it does show that the laws for wealth building applicable 6,000 years ago hold true today.

From William's list on building wealth.
