Okay, I'm not sure if The New American Bible qualifies for a book recommendation, but my answer is: YES, of course! In March, 2025, I joined a challenge to read the entire bible in 63 days. In honesty, I finished in 65 days. The schedule, provided by a Dominincan Order priest, kept me on schedule. Was it easy? No way, but I'm grateful for the experience of a general sweep of everything story and record in both the Old and New Testaments. Many of the passages were like visiting a familiar friend.
