Will I love The Fourth Monkey?

Classic serial killer/mind games-with-detective novel, but with more layers and misdirections and twists than you might expect. As we learn in the book, the Fourth Monkey Killer has an agenda, and a plan – and no one’s going to keep him from executing it (literally). A diary provides a second element of story that provides plenty of squirm-worthy moments and some genuine surprises. I loved this book. This is the tenth book I’ve read this month and I haven’t had a bad one yet, so either I’m really good at picking, or the standard of writing out there is improving all the time. I would give this book 9.5 out of 10. I couldn’t wait to get my day finished so that I could settle and read in the evenings. Can’t praise this highly enough.

If you have not heard of J. D. Barker, you are missing out on a lot of great stories. The Fourth Monkey is the first book in his 4MK series and is like riding a roller coaster without the safety strap on.
