I love fairytale inspirations in stories, and the idea that there's an entire forest of missing people who've become Grimm fairytale nightmares? Sign me up! Despite the dark tone, this was a surprisingly heartfelt and happy (?) book. (HEA-vibe at least.) I was immensely satisfied with the ending while still dying to read the second book in the duology. This was also the best friends-to-lovers romance I've ever read!
