Will I love The Derby Daredevils?

I will never get sick of hearing people’s roller derby names. I absolutely flew through this book. I mean, as sports go, roller derby has gotta be one of the coolest! The first in this series follows Dynamic Duo Kenzie (aka Kenzilla) and Shelly (aka Bomb Shell) as they round out their derby team. They both have big expectations for how everything will come together, but, of course, getting more girls involved in a duo leads to new, thorny dynamics.

As a diehard roller derby player and fan of graphic novels, this highly-illustrated book (which is the first in a series) is the perfect middle ground for visual learners who also love to read prose. Not to mention another fantastic recruiting tool for junior derby leagues (and future adult leagues) all over the world.

Kenzie and Shelly aspire to greatness on the roller derby track, but they’re told they are too young to play.
