Will I love The Biology of Belief?

Biologist Bruce Lipton is one of my favorite scientists. This book is built on a moment when he was in his laboratory growing stem cells in petri dishes, when one day, he made a fascinating discovery. It is not the genes that determine the outcome of the cells but the environment. 

Extrapolating that to the whole human being, the book clearly outlines that our thoughts create our health outcomes. This was the book that single-handedly jolted me AWAKE. Prior to reading this book in 2008, I was sleepwalking through life, doing and achieving all the things I “should” be doing but feeling unfulfilled. But why?! My life looked great on paper, so why did I lack a sense of real purpose?

A powerful look at the capability of our thoughts on our DNA expression. I loved this book because it empowered me to change my thought life in order to experience personal transformation by changing my relationship to alcohol. It completely changed my outlook on what’s possible in my life. We are not victims of our DNA. We are victims of our thought life.

Bruce Lipton is an American developmental biologist who in The Biology of Belief describes the mechanisms by which cells receive and process information. He shows that genes and DNA do not control our biology; instead, DNA is controlled by signals from outside the cell, including the energetic messages emanating from our positive and negative thoughts.
