I love how this book has caused a shift in societal thinking!

Now, I don’t have to feel misunderstood by my partner for not having the same ideas about how love should be received. This book gives the explanation as to why what he needs to feel loved may be different than what I need to feel loved; what a huge relief this is!

What’s even better is that I now know what is the best kind of love for him to receive!

The most sustainable need we have is to be loved, and this book helps me learn to express love to those I care about deeply in ways they will perceive as loving.

I received The Five Love Languages as a wedding present and found it quite insightful. My husband and I do not share a love language, so this has helped me understand ways to better express my love (in ways he will feel it). While I feel loved through words of affirmation, he feels loved through quality time. While he expresses love through acts of service, I express love through gift-giving and physical touch. I highly recommend this book to couples who would like to gain a better understanding of their spouse, as well as their own inner desires and needs.
