I first got into Stoicism the way most people do: to feel better and get control over my emotions. But after I studied and practiced it more, I realized that I got into it for the wrong reasons! Stoicismās goal isnāt to get control over emotions per se, but to eliminate a subset of themāthe passionsābecause they stem from false beliefs.
