Will I love Somewhere Beyond the Sea?

It was thrilling to be back in this world once again. Admittedly, I was nervous when I read the prologue. I wasn't sure we'd be brought back to the island, and yet after finishing, I see the importance of why it was done. Again, the characters were the high point for me, but I also love how doing this right thing isn't always easy or clear.

As with the first, I truly hope this one is made into a movie.

This one is a sequel to The House in the Cerulean Sea which I quite liked, but didn't love. I *loved* Somewhere Beyond the Sea. This book is a love letter to every child who needed someone to stand up for them when they were younger. A middle finger to a flawed system and a happy ending for everyone. With it's quirky cast and loving fathers, the reader feels like part of the family.

This sequel to TJ Klune's The House In The Cerulean Sea was absolutely amazing.

It follows Arthur's point of view, taking place after the events of the first book, as he deals with many things at once in the present day including raising a new child, fighting against the Department In Charge Of Magical Youth, etc. - and we, the readers, learn a bit more about his backstory in the process.

I don't want to spoil anything here, but the book made me laugh, cry, and and I was absolutely happy with how the ending went. This is a great… show more.
