Why read it?

3 authors picked Shipped as one of their favorite books. Why do they recommend it?

I’ve never been to the Galápagos Islands, but after reading Shipped, I wish I could afford to go! In this enemies-to-lovers romance, Henley and Graeme are office rivals who work for the same adventure travel company but have never met in person. When the opportunity for a promotion arises, their boss sends them both on a company cruise to the Galápagos archipelago, where they’ll have to come up with the best marketing pitch for the area. This book has so much going for it: hilarious travel hijinks, sizzling sexual tension, and detailed descriptions that bring the islands to…

The author's breezy writing style and snarky sense of humor were a winning combination for me in this book. Shipped revolves around the antagonistic relationship of marketing maven Henley and her remote colleague, Graeme, whom she spars with via e-mails. When the two of them are pitted against each other for a promotion, they come face-to-face for the first time on a cruise to the Galápagos.

I love it when a book transports me to an exotic locale and Shipped serves up glorious descriptions of the islands and the characters’ experiences there. Reading it is like taking a vacation!

Henley…

Not only does this book take you to the Galapagos, but it’s also very educational about the ecosystem there. That makes it sound dry and textbook-y, which is not the case at all. The story is actually my favorite kind of romance, where competition turns romantic. It just so happens that you pick up some knowledge between swoons. How great is that?
