Will I love Rewrites of the Heart?

Writers all make jokes about talking to their imaginary friends. But what if your imaginary friends--the characters of the book you were writing--were suddenly standing in your living room? That's the premise of this book (and its brand new sequel!) and it's just so much fun.

Author Terry Newman has written a rom com with a difference. With the characters literally falling out of the book and into the real world they try to manipulate the unsuspecting author into a romance. No spoilers here, but if you’re looking for a beautifully written romance, and a giggle, then this rom com is for you.  

Romance author JJ Spritely’s life is turned upside down when two of her fictional characters seemingly jump out of her manuscript and appear in the author’s home. Author Terry Newman penned a rip-snorter of a well-written plot chock full of comedic coincidence with an exquisite sense of timing.

Newman’s sharp-tongued dialog is crisp and snappy. Sassy JJ’s zingers and character Blake’s deadpan commentaries have more than enough snark to make readers laugh out loud.

Part paranormal, part rom-com, Rewrites of the Heart is a fast-paced, fun trip to never-neverland.  

Sometimes I need a book that gives me a kick-off my shoes moment, then smile, and smile, and smile some more.

Author Terry Newman has certainly captured the very essence of a rom com but with a difference. I really like the premise of this book with the characters literally falling off the page and into the real world. Author Newman seamlessly pulls the two worlds together blending it into a beautiful, heartwarming romance that makes you smile from start to finish. So kick of your shoes, find a comfy chair and be prepared for a good read.
