Why read it?

2 authors picked Rabbit and Robot as one of their favorite books. Why do they recommend it?

Jamie Michalak

Author

Cece Bell is one of the funniest, most fearless writers in town, and I never know what she’s going to do next. This book features Bell’s trademark absurd humor and endearing characters.

Rabbit lives by her to-do list, and Robot tends to go off-script, asking for nuts and bolts on pizza or running out of batteries during a game called Go Fish. (Hey, who hasn’t?) But for me, Rabbit’s missing remote gets the biggest laugh as Bell works it into a visual joke that’s a hoot to be in on.

From Jamie's list on The best early reader books that are fall-over-laughing funny.

Shanda McCloskey

Author

Cece Bell knows how to write for kids! This story definitely spoke to the kid in me from the ever-relatable sleepover woes to the cutest little details such as how Robot wants nuts and bolts as a pizza topping! The art and text is soft and approachable for early readers and masterfully crafted by a kid-lit giant.

From Shanda's list on The best books about robots for kids.
