There's a certain quality to Rupert Holmes' smash hit. It seeps through the cracks of mainstream publishing to proudly shout its ambitious aspirations.

It's clever, genuinely fun/funny (British in essence, so no wonder), and challenging.

Imagine a Hogwarts for would-be murderers, a secret academy whose students (adults only) study poisons, not potions, and wield weapons instead of wands. Author Rupert Holmes has taken this premise and run with it, and the result is an entertaining tale set in a world so vivid, I feel as if I’ve walked the academy’s campus.
