The book starts out as his mother, in labor, gets put into a minecart and wheeled ten miles to the track to the front door of the hospital to give birth, to tough times growing up during the Depression, all the way to working in the Pentagon (and forgetting to close his safe, and the paperwork that incurred...) If you need a pick-me-up autobiography that makes you appreciate the simple things, this is the book for you!
