Will I love Magical Midlife Madness?

I fell in love with K F Breene’s wisecracking heroine, Jacinta Evans, in the first few pages. When she gets to Ivy House, the story takes a turn for the weird—even for a slightly off-beat genre like this. 

Speaking of early PNWF works, K. F. Breene’s book is probably the first book I read in this niche. March 2020, and I wanted something different to read after a months-long stint of space opera. K.F. Breene has a knack for writing great characters. One thing I like most in fictional reads is witty banter, and there is a lot of snark in this book, especially from the female lead, Jesse. I loved that she was older (as the title suggests) and strong-willed.

This is a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud read that I stayed up way too late to finish. It’s a fun series to binge, exploring magic and shapeshifters. 

It's kick ass! Forget the usual clichés and stereotypes associated with female protagonists, this series takes readers on a paranormal women’s fiction adventure. It shows that 40 is not even close to being over the hill and life can be full of exciting surprises and thrills no matter your age.

I live for books that make me belly laugh, and this one had me rolling. A 40-year-old recently divorced woman who basically gets adopted by a magical house that gives her powers… yes please! What’s not to love? Creepy security dolls, the world’s worst gargoyle life coach, a collection of misfits, and a slow-burn romance with a werewolf shifter mean I will read this again and again.
