Ray Bradbury was one of the greatest American short story writers of the 20th Century. He is best known for his science fiction, his modern gothic tales, and his bittersweet evocations of lost youth. But he wrote good crime fiction too. This collection showcases his abilities as a crime fiction writer. It starts off weakly, in my opinion, but quickly gains strength. I was impressed by 'Where Everything Ends', 'Corpse Carnival', 'And So Died Riabouchinska' and 'The Town Where No One Got Off' (almost a perfect little fable).
