Why read it?

7 authors picked I Will Teach You to Be Rich as one of their favorite books. Why do they recommend it?

This was one of the first money books I read because it was recommended by a friend. I liked how easy it was to read, and I learned a great deal.

Although, at first, it read a bit “bro-ey,” his humor grew on me. I like its direct approach to money without the jargon and confusion. I also learned that the updated version has changed a bit to reflect less in-your-face and more about giving us space.

I know it might sound odd to hear a personal finance book will help you up your game in sports, but money stress can be a huge drain on anyone’s psyche.

This is another book I think about daily because it dramatically shifted my mindset about money. While it might seem to speak to a reader who’s just getting their career started, both I and my 79-year-old mother have learned a ton from reading this book and taking Sethi’s advice to spend extravagantly on the things we love while cutting ruthlessly on things we don’t need.

I love that this…

I stumbled upon Ramit's work years ago when I started trying to get my financial life together.

I Will Teach You To Be Rich walks readers through how to focus more on big financial matters, like automating savings and retirement contributions in low-cost index funds, instead of focusing on $5 and $10 purchases.

His philosophy is that everyone's version of a…

I have been on Ramit’s “The Rich Life” newsletter list for many years now and as an author I find his insights to be authentic and genuine for couples and individuals alike.

The book has now sold over 1 million copies. I like his practical, no-nonsense approach to personal finance. My favorite thing about this book is the author’s emphasis on automation.

I bought this for all 6 kids for Christmas!

It has such a practical and easy-to-digest approach to managing your finances. His book is perfect for any beginner who wants to live a financially stress-free life, no matter how much or how little you make.
