Will I love Hotel Ukraine?

This is Martin Cruz Smith's last book, and was released just days after his death. I have learned so much through the years from reading his books...he was a master. RIP, Martin Cruz Smith . Long live Arkady Renko.

This is Cruz Smith's final Arkady Renko, Moscow Investigator, book and I've loved them all since first reading Gorky Park. This one, obviously taking Renko into the Ukraine War was a fitting finale.

As a mystery writer and reviewer myself, I have been in love with Cruz Smith's Arkady Renko series ever since I read Gorky Park. His recreation of communist Russia as it becomes an oligarchy is vivid and profoundly engaging, and the sarcastic insights and dialogue of his hero knock me out every single time. This ius the last book in the series. I've read all of the previous books twice and some of them three times.
